While it can be disappointing, it's part of the charm of camping. But what do you do on such a rainy vacation day? Read on quickly for our tips.
On vacation in autumn
Fall break is a great time to get away from it all with the RV. There are plenty of great places to visit in the fall. Unfortunately, it's not always dry everywhere and you may have some rainy camping days in between. Fortunately, there are plenty of activities to do on a drizzly day at the campsite. We list 10 of them for you.
1. Games competition!
Pull out all the games you have with you and start a real games competition! Who will win the most games after a day of playing? No need to do the dishes tonight.
2. Swimming
Are you at a campground with an indoor pool? Then take a nice dip! Inside you won't be bothered by the downpours, although of course you won't keep it dry in the pool either....
3. Bingewatch a fun series
Not in the mood for an activity? Then make it a cozy day in the RV. Put on your favorite series, grab some goodies and opt for a nice cozy and relaxing day.
4. Go shopping in the city
Do you find yourself near a village or town? Go out and shop for a new outfit together. Or look for fun family games to play in the RV later in the day. Does it clear up? Good excuse for a nice drink on a terrace.
5. Find a museum
No matter where you are, there is always a museum nearby. And let that be the perfect activity for a rainy day. Dive into history or admire beautiful works of art by famous artists.
6. Wine tasting
On location or nice at the RV. Get all different wines and make it a fun afternoon. And for the kids? Buy all kinds of crazy drinks at the supermarket and let them guess what it is. Of course, matching snacks should not be missing.
7. Grab your favorite book
How nice is it to have a moment to yourself? Grab your favorite book or magazine and enjoy a day of reading. If it's a bit drier, you can sit in the awning, and if there's a real downpour, settle down on the couch or bed. Rest up!
8. Tinker away
Crafting is really not just a fun activity for children. There are also many options for adults to enjoy themselves for a day. For example, consider a coloring book for adults. Or craft together with your kids with toilet rolls, empty bottles and cardboard. Plenty to invent!
9. Relax with a day at the spa
Fancy the ultimate day of relaxation? Then check for spa facilities near the campsite. Book a nice massage and relax in a warm sauna. That's sure to get you through that rainy day!
10. Boots on and go!
Aren't you afraid of a little rain? Then put on good clothes and shoes and go out. Take a nice walk through the forest or tour a town or village. Because let's face it, a little rain doesn't melt us, does it?
